Why focus import from and to the EU?
Importing to and from the EU means that customs is involved, which makes the process more difficult. Do I have to pay import duties? How should my shipment be packed? What are INCO terms and what do they mean, are there dangerous substances in my shipment and so on.

To give you an example:
It takes 35 to 40 contact moments on average between an importer, exporter and carrier to bring in a shipment. More if you have no experience with this. That takes time and that time is better spent on things you are good at.

Do you provide transport services?

Yes. Together with partner OBC-one from Germany, we provide on board courier and next flight out shipment services. When others say that possibilities are exhausted, we start. Your emergency is our daily routine.

What is an onboard courier?

An onboard courier is a courier who collects the package from you and brings it to its destination, door to door. An onboard courier takes packages that can be taken along as hand luggage, which are usually lighter than 7 kg and which fit in the storage space above the seats in the aircraft. It is also possible to send heavier shipments. They then go, just like when you go on holiday, in the hold of the plane. Heavier shipments are also possible. The largest we’ve done is 2000 kgs.

How does it work?

Call us when you hear that the courier can no longer deliver your package on time. We will get to work immediately to have the quote ready within the hour. After you agree with the quote, we will get to work.

During the shipment we are always in contact with you via WhatsApp. That is the OBC-one head office, the courier, TransportX and yourself. So there is direct communication and you can easily keep the people at the destination informed. And there won’t be any surprises.

Examples of how we help

Logistics virtual assistant.
We assist a small business with bringing in a container from China every month as their logistics virtual assistant. They don’t need the fuss of handling these shipments, so we do it for them, order to delivery. They just want to be kept updated on when their shipment arrives. We deal with the rest.

Sending gifts.
We had a client that sent Christmas presents to his clients around the world. He kept getting them back and he asked us if we could help. We found out his customers had to pay import duties and VAT on these presents, which they did not want to do, so they refused the shipments. We changed the delivery terms to DDP, delivery duty paid so our client became responsible for all costs related to the shipment. The presents were no longer refused.

Dangerous goods.
Another client imports alcoholic beverages and got a quote from his freight forwarder that included dangerous goods surcharges. We negotiated these away. There are a lot of exceptions when it comes to moving dangerous goods. The short story is that his product could be shipped with regular transport, because a couple of exceptions applied. We saved €1300 on his bill.
